What type of system do you use?
There are many versions of colon hydro therapy, colonice, or colon irrigation. We use the Hydro Sans Plus, It is FDA approved & regulated. This closed system allows warm filtered water to gently hydrate the colon. Since the waste is carried out through a closed tube, it allows for no noise, odor, or mess. Every speculum and tubing is one time use only, and everything in the room is sanitized before and after every session.
How safe is the process?
The water pressure of a colon hydrotherapy session is so gentle, that it is less than a store bought fleet enema. The water pressure will not perforate your colon wall. Warm water is comfortable and filtered to prevent any bacteria from entering.
Is the procedure painful?
No. It is not painful! The speculum may be slightly uncomfortable for just a few seconds while inserted. The slight bloating and discomfort during a session is minimal compared to the discomfort most of us have become accustomed to living with daily! Most people leave feeling refreshed, energized, and physically and mentally lighter… even euphoric!
Is colon therapy embarrassing?
No. Except for the insertion of the speculum into the rectum, you are completely covered during the entire session. The closed system carries waste away with no odor and no mess. A lighted viewing tube reveals that this is not the waste that we see in the toilet… this is more intriguing and amazing than embarrassing.
Is one cleansing enough to empty the colon?
Not likely! Many of us have anywhere from 5-25 pounds (or more!!!) of impacted feces lining our colon wall. This is hardened, rubbery material and substantial work is often needed to remove it. Remember it took us years of ingesting foods that contain things such as preservatives, flavors, and ingredients that our body is simply not designed to digest. Even if we have been eating perfectly organic foods and drinking our water, there are times when stress, travel, and medicine, may have taken their toll on slowing down our digestion and metabolism.
How often do people receive colon sessions?
The amount of colon sessions needed to help your colon reach its optimum ability varies with each individual. This number can be as unique as each of us are in our life story… it is a combined level of stress, travel, medication, age, genetics, water intake, exercise and eating habits.
Most people begin a series consisting of a session once or twice a week, and then gradually schedule sessions less often as we determine a maintenance schedule that works best for you.
Your personal objectives will ultimately determine the number of treatments you wish to have.
How many sessions will I need?
Mainly you will know what works best for you by how much better you feel after a series of sessions. The difference is amazing. We can help you determine how many you may need by the release of waste we see during the session. This analysis is based on visual interpretation and our experience over the years. Keep in mind that we will arm you with any information and knowledge that we can, but we are not Dr.’s and at no time able to give you a diagnosis.
Regular cleansing is really a lifetime commitment because once we know how easy it is to feel better; we never want to return to being weighted down by toxic waste again!
Keep in mind that any session you do will be a benefit, so don’t be overwhelmed by the number.
Why is a series of sessions recommended?
While many people experience immediate improvement with one colon session, a series will truly help you strengthen and tone the colon muscle so that it functions at optimum level again. In the beginning, keeping sessions scheduled close together allow us to keep the colon hydrated, resulting in productive sessions since each session will cleanse away layers of impacted waste, bacteria, and parasites. This means that you will feel better quicker, and be able to maintain the improvements for longer.
At the very minimum we would like to suggest 4 to 5 sessions, ideally more, fairly close together. This will give you a better understanding of the improvement in overall health that can be expected. Even people who consider their eating habits healthy and have regular bowel movements feel improvement with a series of sessions! Please keep in mind that we are all very different, and there is no exact number since some people benefit from one series, and some benefit from 30 or more sessions. It all depends on our current level of health, and our personal health goals.
How can I maintain a healthy colon between sessions?
Along with colon hydrotherapy there are many ways to nurture your colon. Probiotics help us replace the good bacteria that is often lacking in our foods. Digestive enzymes help break down foods, absorb the nutrients, and keep elimination regular. Increase raw foods and water intake. Get an adequate amount of sleep. Reduce stress whenever possible. The basic rule is to increase our level of nutrition, and eliminate the toxins in our body.
When you feel increased symptoms such as fatigue, bloating, back pain, indigestion, than it may be time for another session, or even another series of sessions to get you back on track!
Most people find the best maintenance is to have a colon cleansing session once every 3-4 weeks.
Others find that just a few times a year is sufficient.
Can someone become dependent on colon therapy?
NO. Actually, one of its benefits is that it can strengthen and tone the colon muscles, so the colon does not perform so sluggishly. It also aids in the absorption of vitamins and nutrients. So the goal is to get your colon working at its best…on its own.
